The Birth of Arrow Special Parts

Arrow Special Parts was established in 1985, when Italian Giorgio Giannelli made his dream come true and founded a company specialised in exhausts for motorcycle competitions. In the years that followed Arrow manufactured off-road exhausts and handle bars, designed and developed with the help of top-riders such as MX World Champion Michele Rinaldi.

Arrow racing history
Arrow racing history is a 22-year-long tale, including experiences in the whole range of racing motorcycling. The first success came in 1987, with Georges Jobè in the MX 500cc World Championship. That was the first of a long-lasting serie of victories, reached together with many of the best riders in the World: Orioli, Lawson, Puzar, Parker, Schmit, Schwantz...and so on. Since 1996, every racing season ended with Arrow winning a World Title.

Ten Kate Racing
The partnership with Ten Kate racing team brought another challenge: the sponsorship was so good that Ten Kate Honda's CBR600RR, boosted by Arrow exhausts, won the last 4 SuperSport Championships, from 2004 to 2007. In the meanwhile, things were ready for Arrow to be for the first time on the top of World motorcycling, with Corser's SBK Title in 2005. What a perfect way to celebrate 20 years of Arrow! 2006 followed with other victories, the "usual" ones in SS (Charpentier) and MX1 (Everts), to be added to Polita's Title in World STK1000 and Simeon's one in European STK600.

Superbike Race Tech Systems
Reduced dimensions, breath-taking performance and an exclusive look are the features of the Arrow Race Tech line, the latest development in exhausts for 4- stroke superbikes. The typical rhomboidal - diamond - shape was designed to reduce dimensions and weight as far as possible, while guaranteeing an optimal gas flow and thus great performance and an acceptable noise level. The use of materials such as titanium, aluminum, carbon-fiber and stainless steel ensure reliability, even under extreme circumstances. The design of the end-cap is particularly innovative and reduces the counter pressure effects of the combustions gasses as they are being shot out of the silencer. The Arrow Race Tech line is available in two different sizes to satisfy specific customer requests on assembling, performance and noise level.

R&D department
The Arrow Special Parts R&D department designed and developed the Competition line especially for tuned racing bikes. Competition is a full system line and represents the top of the bill in the Arrow exhaust range, offering top performances together with a significant weight reduction. In fact, the most part of the system is made out of high quality titanium, not only the end silencer, but also the mid pipes. The collectors are made of a special type of stainless steel, only 0,8 mm thick, ensuring strength, performance and reliability. All Competition exhaust systems are equipped with a lambda sensor plug for tuning of the jetting, essential in all competitions. The end silencer guarantees that noise levels are kept within the parameters set by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (F.I.M). The shape of the pipes (length, form, diameter) are different from those of the standard production and was especially designed and tested to offer the best racing performances available on the market.

The big news in the 2008 product range is the carbon fiber end can, coupled to the present production systems. The most part of exhaust systems present in the product range are now available with Arrow-designed carbon fiber end cans, to keep the unique look of an Arrow exhaust really on the top.

Arrow race lab
The Arrow Race Lab is a Dynojet-testing room on wheels, created to provide race track support and assistance to teams relying on the Arrow Special Parts exhaust technology. The Lab is equipped with a sound proof, climate controlled testing room and the latest version of the Dynojet Static Test Bench. A computer-controlled data collecting system guarantees precise evaluation of all gathered information, allowing a perfect engine set-up and fast and precise last-minute changes. The technicians have a full series of Beta tools and a TIG-machine for stainless steel-, aluminum- and titanium-welding at their disposal. The technical office right in front of the testing room is in non-stop telephone and modem contact with the Research & Development Department in the Arrow headquarters in Italy.
